Take a look at the picture below. I recently discovered this image and its tale in a Korean publication. The story is this:
Shortly before a Japanese teenager committed suicide, she drew this picture, scanned it, and posted it online. In Korea, this story broke out and spread like wildfire. There are various posts around in Korean forums that say the viewer gets drawn to the girl's blue eyes.
They say they can detect a hint of wrath and sadness within the eyes. Maybe the girl died with so much sadness and anger that her spirit haunts the image, or maybe the image provokes sadness in a similar fashion to the song "Gloomy Sunday."
The freaky bit is this: they say it is hard for a person to stare into the girl's eyes for longer than five minutes. There are reports that some people have taken their own lives after doing so. People say the picture changes; as you view it, there is a hint of a taunting smirk appearing on the girl's lips or a dark ring grows around the girl or her eyes.
One thing is for sure. The picture has sparked a curiosity in me that I must find out. id o feel a presence when I look at the image, but I cannot judge whether it is evil or not. I would like to know what the global online community feels. Maybe even experts in art would be able to resolve why the eyes of this image can draw the viewer in so deeply.
Obvious gift. is obvious -.-
ReplyDeletenot is a gif, look the image category (sorry my bad english).
DeleteIt's not an animated picture, I looked at the image info and it didn't say it was an animation with frames.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or are her eyes and eyebrows moving? Also, the picture makes me a little ill when looking at it, and I mean the puke-a-bit kind of ill.
ReplyDeleteI feel queasy and unsettled... not the puke-ill. Also once I think I saw her nose bleed, but I'm not sure.
Deleteits kinda like she is changing her expression creepy!
ReplyDeletelooking into her eyes made my head ache...
ReplyDeleteThis was only a little creepy until I looked at it over the top of my glasses. Then I almost pissed myself.
ReplyDeleteI WON'T SEE THIS CRAP ALONE! O_O' HELL NO WAY! I'M ALONE AT HOME AND ITS 00:41, THE HOUR THAT ASTAROTH ENTERS IN THE HUMAN WORLD. NO FREAKING WAY I'LL LOOK TO IT ALONE! NO WAY! (I swear to you guys that when I wrot "LOOK" I almost wrote "KILL", but then I erased it and changed to "LOOK") But I'm goddamn to curious! The curiosity killed the cat, so I won't look at it. No way, nah nah, I won't u_u (I'll look later when I'm with friends)
ReplyDeleteI looked O_O'... Nothing happened '-' (I looked for 10 seconds)
ReplyDeleteCertain images, if looked at long enough, and with the right amount of influence(story) can look like they move or change.
ReplyDeleteThe mind plays tricks.
Addendum from previous.
ReplyDeleteStill, I'd rather not look at it, as I am sitting to and open space and it is nighttime.
It only "changes" because it is intentionally slightly out of focus. It strains the eyes, making it apper to move,
ReplyDelete(*kh2fan34*)
Nothing. But lord, I would fucking pound that.
ReplyDeleteScary?
ReplyDeleteBut She's Very Cute!!!
I didn't look at it for 5 minutes, just a few seconds...but I don't really think it's creepy. She's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOh come on, people. Stop being a bunch of cowards, and talk to it, as well as stare at it. I wasn't afraid, and I did it. Even offered her a challenge tonight. ¬¬
ReplyDeleteI'm just gonna say that the longer i stared at this picture, the more i felt like i was looking at my own reflection
ReplyDeleteYou can't stare directly into the face and expect changes, you have to stare like, off to the side, or at the end of her nose. She's so pretty though, and might I add, the circles around her eyes did appear to get darker but her mouth never moved for me.
ReplyDeleteIt's an illustration done by one Robert Chang, you can find it in his portfolio : http://www.ethereality.info/ethereality_website/main_page/home.htm
ReplyDeleteBullshit story.
did she just blink?...
ReplyDeleteWell one of her eyes IS drawn larger and with different detail, if anything it just seems like an optical illusion.
ReplyDeleteI thought it was really pretty oO
ReplyDeleteHoly shit! Her eyes! Something is wrong with them. The black of her eyes get bigger and smaller. It freaked me out.
ReplyDeleteoh my god. wont stare at this image ever again..
ReplyDeleteThere's Sadness in here eyes......
ReplyDeleteA lot of Sadness,
Then her Lips, I think its a Fake smile. Like,
Everything will be alright but deep inside her its not.
Also her eyes look tired like the girl cried a lot.
If you stare at ANYTHING long enough it distorts, it's your brain refusing to take in the same information over and over. Same sort of thing as ringing in your ears when it's dead silent.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I stared at it longer as 5 minutes.. I had a strange feelin that she was talking to me.. I wanna help her.. She's beautiful.. So damn beautiful.. And her eyes.. Just WOW.. But the thing I liked the most was the smile.. The first thing I saw.. Her smile.. A smile of sadness, a smile made by sadness.. Beautiful..
ReplyDeleteI stared at this for like 10 minutes. Then i got thirsty.
ReplyDeleteOMG This is really spooky :O But i like to scare myself so i keep staring into her eyes XD
ReplyDeleteI stared into her eyes for five seconds and my brain started to hurt
ReplyDeletesame
Deletesame here. i suddenly want to puke
DeleteWhen I last read this story, the picture was that of a girl of suicidegirls dot com.
ReplyDeleteI must say that it makes me a little unconfortable to look at the picture but maybe because I'm really scared of this type of stories so if you tell me something is haunted or anything like that I don't want to look at it nor enter it! but it's a really pretty picture!
ReplyDeleteI can stare at this for 5 mins... I didnt kill ma self after
ReplyDeleteLOL every one is faking that they feel ''ill'' or get ''headaches'' stop lying your fine
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!!!
ReplyDeleteS-she just Flip her eye for a second!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lets see i stared at this gif for a good while and nothing happened i scrolled down to read the comments then i scrolled back up. Her expression seemed to change to sort of a grin not a friendly grin either it was more of a grin with the intent to do harm. She's beautiful on the outside yet ugly on the inside the poor girl must of been through a lot. However I'm officially creeped out.
ReplyDeleteMeant pic not gif
DeleteI showed this to my most hated student without telling him the story, hoping he'd die n end my misery. He didnt die, didnt feel anything. He 's fine. Nothing happened.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of sadist are you?
DeleteAre the eyes different?
ReplyDelete''She is so beautiful''
ReplyDeleteI decided to videotape it, just in case I do things I don't remember doing, cause that happens to people, but strangely, I watched it two times, and when I put my phone down to go get it's charger, cause it was at, like, 10 percent, I came back to find it pinned under one of my dresser drawers, which had fallen out of the dresser, and landed on the phone smashing it to pieces. I hadn't saved my video. But, anyway, I set an alarm for four minutes, cause I was not looking for five, and I set it, looked at the image for about thirty seconds, and then the alarm went off. I was confused, it hadn't been four minutes for sure, I thought, but it had! and my hand hurt really bad, I looked down, and one of my fingernails were ripped out of my finger. After cleaning it up, I watched the video, and indeed, it lasted more than four minutes, it was 7 minutes, and 24 seconds. at about 30 seconds, the video showed me biting the nail that later was ripped out. At one minute, I started scratching my head relentlessly, and then around three minutes, I sprinted out of the room, and returned about 30 seconds later, holding a pair of pliers. I sat down, and quickly yanked my nail of. I then threw the pliers in the hallway, (They weren't in the hallway when I checked later) and the nail, well, I never saw the nail drop or anything. (I later searched for the nail, and couldn't find it.) Then my alarm went off, and i snapped out of whatever daze I was in. Then I left the room, holding my finger, for about two minutes, leaving my computer open. Then I returned, closed my computer, and grabbed my phone. The video ended. But the scariest part, was when I left the room for two minutes, my computer was open, and the phone was recording, zoomed in on the screen, and, I swear to god, the picture smiled, and two small red lines dripped down the sides of her mouth, it lasted five seconds, and then I closed the computer. I DO NOT RECOMEND LOOKING AT THIS IMAGE FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME! IT IS NOT A GIF, OR A JOKE, OR A GAME!
